Manuscript Withdrawal Policy

The journal is committed to handling manuscript withdrawal requests transparently, fairly, and ethically while safeguarding the integrity of the scholarly record.

• Authors requesting withdrawal must submit a formal email to the editorial department, clearly stating the reason(s) for withdrawal.
• Withdrawal requests received before the manuscript enters peer review may be considered without further processing.
• Once a manuscript is sent for peer review, it is registered in the journal's manuscript repository as part of the official editorial record. After that, the journal will consider withdrawal requests only in exceptional circumstances and will require a valid justification.
• The Life and Science editorial team will evaluate all withdrawal requests and communicate its decision to the corresponding author in writing.
• If evidence of publication misconduct (including duplicate or simultaneous submission, plagiarism, or other ethical violations) is identified, the journal reserves the right to notify the author's affiliated institution and relevant regulatory authorities, including HEC and PM&DC, where applicable.
• Requests for withdrawal after acceptance will be considered only in exceptional cases.
• Once an article has been published, withdrawal is not permitted; instead, the journal will issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with internationally accepted publication ethics guidelines.
• All withdrawal requests and related correspondence will be treated confidentially. The editorial department/team will maintain records of all withdrawal requests and decisions for documentation and audit purposes.
• This policy will be reviewed periodically and updated, as necessary, to remain consistent with international standards of publication ethics.
